Research Development Resources

The ICS Office of Research Development serves as an essential resource for faculty, offering dedicated support for identifying funding opportunities, crafting competitive proposal strategies, and creating supporting content for proposals.

Our goal is to simplify administrative and compliance requirements throughout the proposal submission process, partnering with PIs to help them navigate the grants landscape with clarity and confidence.

Our office provides a wide range of services to support proposals of varying scales, including internal limited competitions, and collaborates closely with the ICS Contracts & Grants team during the submission process.

ICS Proposal Support Request

To request proposal help from our Contracts and Grants Team, please complete this short request form as soon as you have identified a funding opportunity you would like to pursue. See the workflow below outlining the proposal submission process.

Step 1: Pre-Award Proposal Request

As soon as you identify a funding opportunity to pursue, complete the request form.

Step 2: Proposal Development

Identify and complete all needed documents. Your FA will help create a budget and budget justification.

Step 3: SPA Review

Internal SPA review is required 7 business DAYS prior to submission due date. Your FA will facilitate the process.

Step 4: Final Editing

Make any needed changes resulting from SPA review and continue to edit proposal narrative.

Step 5: Submission & Next Steps

Final submission is made by SPA. A “Ready to submit” request should be sent to SPA 2 business DAYS prior to due date.
