One of the most diverse and intellectually rich computing schools in the nation, the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences (ICS) is well-positioned to continue its tradition of exploring and advancing the boundaries of computing and its applications to a multitude of disciplines. Since its start as a department in 1968, ICS has grown to become a global leader in human-centered computing research and education. The school’s three departments — Computer Science, Informatics, and Statistics — lead a broad range of research initiatives and academic programs with the goal of advancing society and improving the quality of life through information technology.
