UCI Esports, UCI’s Connected Learning Lab, and the North America Scholastic Esports Federation (NASEF) are, once again, bringing together researchers and leaders at the intersection of esports and education to share with and learn from each other at this annual event.

For a second year, this event will be hosted entirely virtually on October 7-8, 2021.

As we see the light at the end of the pandemic tunnel, the UCI Esports Conference is an opportunity to reflect on the opportunities and challenges ahead. The importance of technology and video games grew exponentially since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. Our computers and consoles have been our gateway to learning, teaching, and connecting with each other while being confined to our homes.

For this year’s conference, you can expect to hear from respected leaders across our three content tracks: Research, Collegiate, and Scholastic (K-12).

  • On the Research track, you can expect unique and original work of rigorous academic research that contributes to existing conversations and literature around esports.
  • For Collegiate, you will learn about unique programs, curricula, and university environments that support student interests and personal growth.
  • In Scholastic, we will take a deep dive into what is happening in the K-12 space and focus on models that engage all students in different learning environments through the lens of scholastic esports.

We hope you save the date on your calendar and consider joining us for our fourth annual UCI Esports Conference. We can’t wait to see familiar faces and meet new colleagues!
