Winter 2026: Graduate Enrollment Priorities

It is highly recommended that students check this page periodically. The timeline will be followed for the most part, but course restrictions are subject to change, such as in the case of highly impacted courses where restrictions may be extended or adjusted at a time other than initially planned.

ICS Student Affairs reserves the right to adjust restrictions and the timeline at any time.

Important Notes:

Graduates outside of the School of ICS

Graduate students outside of the School of ICS must wait until 12:00pm December 5, 2025 to enroll in ICS courses. No exceptions to this registration schedule will be made.

Graduates within the School of ICS

ICS Graduate Students who wish to enroll in a restricted ICS course may contact an ICS graduate counselor for assistance.
ICS Graduate Students who wish to enroll in an ICS undergraduate-level course and have received permission from the instructor may email their request for authorization to ucounsel@uci.edu, starting December 5, 2025.

ICS Undergraduate Students who wish to enroll in an ICS graduate-level course and have received permission from the instructor may email gcounsel@ics.uci.edu for assistance beginning December 5, 2025.

ICS strictly enforces the campus’s Week 2 add/drop deadline:

The add/drop deadline for Winter 2026 is 5:00pm, Friday, January 16, 2026.

12/24/25 – 1/1/26	Winter Recess. Campus offices are closed.
1/5/26 Winter 2026 Week 1	First day of Winter quarter instruction.
1/16/26 Winter 2026 Week 2	5:00 pm: Add, Drop, Change Grade Option deadline Last day to add, drop, or change grade option in WebReg for any ICS course. Check your position in any waitlisted course(s), and be sure to drop if it is no longer needed/desired.
