CS 162 - Formal Languages and Automata Homework

Homework is due by 12:25pm on Thursdays (just before lecture) and must be turned in through dropbox on eee. No late homework will be accepted. Homework must be typed, and formatted as a pdf file. Handwritten homework or homeworks in other formats will not be graded. Students who add the class after the start of quarter will be responsible for turning in all earlier homeworks by the following Monday. The lowest homework score of the quarter will be dropped from the course average.

• Homework 1: due in WEEK 2. 25 points. Reading: Chapter 0 and Sections 1.1-1.2.
• Homework 2: due in WEEK 3 25 points. Reading: Sections 1.3-1.4.
• Homework 3: due WEEK 4 25 points. Reading: Sections 2.1-2.2.
• Midterm Exam 1: Thursday of WEEK 5 in class. 300 points. Reading: Sections 1.1-1.4, 2.1-2.2.

• Homework 5: due WEEK 7. 25 points. Reading: Sections 3.1-3.3.
