For homework #3, (due in class on May 10), you should find a research
project at a university other than UCI or a research lab.  The WWW is
an ideal way to do this. There are several ways to do this.

a. Use Altavista or some other search engine to search for something.
For example, I typed "computer graphics research" to Alta Vista and
found some interesting projects.

b. Go to a government agency web site that funds research
and see a list of projects they are funding.  For example
https://www.fastlane.nsf.gov/a6/A6Start.htm
has projects funded by the National Science Foundation.

c. Go to the web site of a university with a large computer science
department e.g., http://www.cs.cmu.edu a company e.g.,
http://www.research.microsoft.com/

Hand in

a. The name of the person doing the research and their location

b. A paragraph describing the goals of the research project and why
you think it's interesting.

c. A citation such as a paper or web site about the project
