INF131: Homework 2

(due on Feb. 13 at the beginning of the discussion session;
do not start with this before we haven't discussed the guidelines for form fills)

Orange County airport plans to develop an information system that lists arriving and/or departing flights based on users' search criteria. Users should be able, but not required, to enter any of the following search criteria:

• Date for which flights should be displayed
• Start time for the display
• Number of hours to be displayed
• Whether arriving or departing flights should be displayed, or both
  
• Airline
• Flight number
• Departure city of flight, or destination
  

a) Design a full screen with paper and pencil that allows users to enter the above data. Use default values to facilitate the data entry, and take HCI guidelines into account. Turn in this part of the homework on 2/13 at the beginning of the discussion session.

b) Once you are done with (a), implement this screen using a WYSIWYG GUI builder like Visual Basic, Visual C++, etc. or a WYSIWYG web editor like Dreamweaver etc. Produce a screen shot of this interface. Upload the code and the screen shot in the dropbox for this class by 10am on 2/13 at the latest.
