nRouters within an area are called internal routers.
nA router connected to the outside world, i.e.,
other AS, is called a boundary
router.
nWithin an area, each router knows its route to
every other router in the area including the backbone router(s)
connecting the area to the backbone. All routers in
an area have identical linkstate databases.
nRouters connecting several areas must have the
link status database of each area it is connected too.
