If you are an International 1st year student, you may choose to attend an in-person orientation instead of following the instructions on this page for registering on your own. If you would like to attend orientation in-person, follow the instructions for 1st year Domestic Students.

Registration windows for 1st Year International students open on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 @ 9:00am PDT.

Important Course Registration Day Information

Recommended Schedule: A recommended schedule for your major will be emailed to your UCI Email prior to course registration.

Advising Hold: There is an advising hold on your record. This is normal and will be removed before your enrollment window opens.

When to Register: You will register remotely through WebReg for your courses starting at 9:00AM PDT on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.

Drop-in For Questions: There will be an optional zoom drop in session on July 15, 2026 from 9:00AM-11:00AM PDT if you have any questions about enrollment. A link will be emailed a few days beforehand. If you cannot attend the drop-ins, you can ask your questions via email.

Notes on Course Selection:

  • All students should be enrolling in 12-14 units. It is not recommended that you enroll in more units than the recommended amount during your first quarter.
  • You can also refer to the Catalogue for more information on major requirements.
  • The ICS Course Listing page shows which courses will be offered in which quarters in the upcoming academic year. This page is updated yearly around mid-Spring Quarter.

Attend the International Student Parent Orientation (ISPOP) on September 16-17 2026.

All international students should register for this in person orientation unless they are already registered for SPOP in the summer. Information can be found at the Orientation Website. Course registration will not take place at this orientation.
