Incoming Transfer & 2nd Baccalaureate Students

Welcome to the School of ICS!

All incoming transfer students must attend a virtual Course Registration Session.

There will be an optional virtual drop-in session the morning of your chosen course registration date to ask your questions about registration.

This page contains information about tasks to complete before your course registration date. Transferring credit from another university may take up to two weeks, so please start early.

Additional information will be sent to your UCI email. Please check it frequently.

Required Tasks Before the Course Registration Session

Important Course Registration Session Information

Recommended schedule: A recommended schedule for your major will be emailed to your UCI Email two days prior to your chosen course registration date.

Advising Hold: There is an “advising hold” on your record. This is normal and will be removed before your enrollment window opens.

When To Register: You will register on your own remotely through WebReg for your courses on the day of your chosen enrollment starting at 9:00AM PDT.

Drop-in For Questions: There will be an optional zoom drop in session from 10:00AM-11:30Am PDT on the day of your registration, where you can ask enrollment related questions with our academic advisors. This is not meant to be an advising session; advising will start in the Fall. The zoom link will be sent to your UCI email 2 days prior to your chosen registration date. Make sure you use your UCI account to log into zoom as your personal zoom account will prevent you from joining.

Email for Questions: If you cannot attend the drop-ins you can ask your questions via email.

How-To’s: This learning module walks you through how to use WebReg and the Schedule of Classes.

Notes on Course Selection:

  • All students should be enrolling 12-14 units. It is not recommended that you enroll in more than the recommended units during your first quarter.
  • You can also refer to the Catalogue for information on major requirements.
  • The ICS Course Listing page shows which courses will be offered in which quarters in the upcoming academic year. This page is updated yearly around mid-Spring Quarter.

Transfer Student Parent Orientation TSPOP

The UCI Transfer Student Parent Orientation (TSPOP) program is held in person and is optional for transfer students.  More information can be found through the UCI Orientation website.  You will not register for courses at TSPOP.

We will see you next in September at  Welcome Week.
