The Information and Computer Sciences Student Council (ICSSC) held WebJam 2024, a week-long hackathon from Nov. 18-22 where students built web applications and showcased their creativity.

“WebJam this year was a success! It was our biggest year yet with more participants, mentors, and workshops,” says ICCSC Events Co-Chair Rachel Kline. “The projects were really impressive this year.”

Here we present the winning WebJam 2024 projects.

First Place: Live, Laugh, Zot

Live, Laugh, Zot helps college roommates manage their shared living responsibilities. The web app allows students to track chores and finances, resolve conflicts and more, creating an organized and harmonious living environment.

Second Place: DineSafe

DineSafe is a web app designed to improve food safety and public health in Orange County. It includes an interactive map that helps users explore local establishments and their sanitation practices, creating a cleaner and safer dining experience for the community.

Third Place: Rio

The Rio app for creating digital photo-strips photo strips. The app has a file upload area, filmstrip preview, and filters menu.

Rio is a tool for creating digital photo strips, allowing users to upload images, apply filters and save their customized photo strips.
